  A possible beginning, but no definite links either to the later Leeds Goodworths or any other Goodworths

d. before 08 Jun 1783, but no other record. No other Goodworths seem to be recorded in the Wortley or Leeds area before that.) If this Goodworth came from elsewhere, the only obvious candidate is that it is the  Thomas Goodworth c. 09 Jan 1746 in Thorne, near Doncaster, son of Thomas Goodworth., but I think he went to London and stayed there.

I have finally managed to check the details of this marriage. The names are clearly written as Thomas Goodworth (so it's either the correct name or the transcriber has made a serious error) and Elisabeth Lee. Unfortunately there is no other information at all. However, on the very same day Samuel LEE marries Grace HARTLEY. Could these LEEs be related? Brother and sister? If so, I can't find an obvious family...

Only referred to as the daughter of the widow of Thomas Goodworth, so I am guessing these parents

It seems likely that there were other children between 1774 and 1783, but if so I have yet to find any record of them. In particular the John Goodworth who marries Elisabeth Wilcocks in 1797 is in the right age range to be one of Thomas's children.
